Went as part of rest point on trip to huangshan, nice simple and historical environment , quite good for photography but when slightly crowded can be uncomfortable to move or take a decent photo.

An old village made famous for its use in the film 'Crouching tiger, hidden dragon'. Pretty with interesting old houses and buildings open to the public, winding alleyways, and a place much used as a subject for art students. It is still actually inhabited but...More

Beautiful and well maintained traditional Chinese village about 45 minutes drive from Tunxi. A relaxing stroll around the lake, the alleys and old building to admire the nice scenery, history and life in the old days. Worth visiting.

This use to be a separate village from hong village but as hong village expanded it got swallowed up. It's a bit like the suburbs the roads are wider and their are more shops but in reality it's not really as nice.

We went there as part of a trip to Huangshan mountain. It is a very beautiful village, nice and clean. I wish we have had more time, I could have spend a full day there to watch the details and just walk around.

Every piece of architecture, wood carving, alley, canal and local dishes has its meaning, story or rather history. Visit one of the most grandious mansion of its time and imagine how opulently the filthy rich and powerful lived and decorated their homes. Recommended to hire...More
