This is one of the best curated museums we have visited especially considering it is not in a major city.

I spent three hours walking through this museum and learnt a lot about the history of Chile, its people, geology, animals, transport, crafts and probably the section that gave me a lump in my throat - the rescue of the 33 Chilean miners.

This is an amazing display of a wealthy Chilean's personal collection. It is quite varied almost like someone's attic...but better organized. There's something here that ought to interest almost anyone. If your time is limited plan your visit so you see the areas that most...More

OK, so the owner has an interesting past and is apparently wanted in the USA for stealing blueprints on a bomb and making his fortune for selling this bomb. This sits on the same grounds as his hotel and you can even look INTO the...More

The museum covers various topics and has very many interesting exhibits. You will need at least 3-4 hours to see it or more. There are some oversimplifications, like total neglect of the genocidal character of the indigenous and Spanish or totally sympathetic approach towards German...More

I visited many museums in Chile during my stay, for a small town this museum is fabulous. Well put together, with items for any party to study and enjoy. I was totally shocked at how good this museum was. Well done. Will definitely return.

Frankly, a visit to a museum wasn't a top priority when we visited Santa Cruz wine region. We decided to check out the museum and it was so amazing that I went back for a second day. While the displays can speak for themselves, there...More

A very complete museum, with a great collection of different objects of the chilean timeline. The museum has so many interesting things to see that you need at least two hours to see it all. The miners section is really impressive.

Hi, We didn't use an audio guide but it didn't really make much difference.
