The linear history of the church is fascinating . Make sure you take a look at it as you enter from the front and to your immediate left. You will note, although undergone many fixes, it retains its historical presence.

One of my favourite churches during my trip
of SA. The cactus wood roof was a highlight and a really useful building to orient yourself.

This church is a beautiful piece of adobe architecture that counts the history of the town. You can find valuable information inside and it's free to visit, however, you have to pay attention to the opening hours.

We found the atmosphere calming and serene because of the simplicity of the design. The roof is a feature made of cactus wood - looking a little like tyre tread design in its grain.

Worth dropping in to see the interior and read a bit about the history of the church. You will see better but not too many made like this one. Free entry and easy access if walking around the town.

It keep ringing during the day. Not so much to see inside, but while walking from the hostel to a restaurant or a tourism agency, you can get inside to check it, not more than 5 minutes. If you are not going to pray, of course. Not my type.

This church is located very close to the main square of San Pedro De Atacama. It is an old church with a very nice look. Certainly worth visiting for it’s antiquity.

Don't forget to look up at the ceiling, constructed from local woods, with an intricate and exquisite design

Great little church in the town square. The church is sometimes open to visitors. It is adjacebt to the town square. Enjoy!
