Located in San Pedro's central plaza it's nice to look at but it was not open for visitors. Church was recently repainted.

It is nice to visit a church which is not ornate! It is very simple, but still interesting to see the statues which were, well, interesting.

It's nice to visit for a short time. The church is not big but has a beautiful alter. It has a wooden roof that also adds to it.

There are other churches in nearby villages (Tonocao) that have much more interesting churches that this one. You can see all of it in a couple of minutes. I suggest you spend your time in the souvenir interesting market next door.

One of the few places in the village where local life is visible. Simple, flowers, a picture of Pope Francis, clean, discrete interior. According to a 2002 census San Pedro has just over 5000 inhabitants. The population doubled over the last two decades with most new comers from Antofagasta and other parts of Chili. Tourism has become the main activity... More

Set on the side of the Town Square this church is really worth taking the time to visit. The interior and reading about the history of the church is a worthwhile experience....also a personal opportunity for a moment or two of reflection

It is nice small church adjacent to the town square. It is not the same awe inspiring architecture of most city churches. There is no fine artwork. If you are interested in a short trip in South America see our not for profit blog havecarryonwilltravel.com. The one thing I pondered while inside was how the folks managed to get the... More
