A brilliant spot to spend a few hours relaxing. Quite a long drive from San Pedro, but well worth it. There are around 7-8 pools, with good changing facilities and lockers.

Looking for a relaxing half day? The Puritama is a warm stream that gently flows through a narrow valley creating a string of thermal pools. The pools, surrounded by pampas grass are somewhat secluded, and given the number of pools you can pretty much find...More

It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of Atacama desert, with small waterfalls and thermal natural pools. If you are going with a guide you can make a tracking along side a river that leads there. The landscape is wonderful.

Place is awsome. Beautiful setting, wonderful water. However, changing rooms do not have lockers, and you end up carrying all your stuff when going to the various pools. Also no showers, and little bathrooms on offer. No one told us about it. Also long walk...More

My ideal of bathing has always been to lay back in a small river with hot waterfall . I could accomplish that in Puritama Termas Of course this is not the only reason to visit Atacama, but certainly the reason to go back

The thermal pools were very nice and relaxing. Just make sure whatever tour company you use will send a legit driver with a good car. We were in a mini van that stalled twice and my boyfriend had no seat belt. The driver burned the...More

What is the best way to get to these hot springs? I would like to go the last day of our trip. We are staying in San Pedro De Atacama, and but we will fly out of Calama Airport at 9:30pm later that night. We do not have a rental car. Should we book a tour, or can we get there with a taxi? What is the best/most cost effective way? Thanks!
