It's a beautiful place, the ocean is amazing, the Neruda's house is incredible, so cultural, definitely this is the Pablo Neruda's house you have to visit! Also, they have a guide that explains everything about the house, the place, Neruda and his stories. You'll love this place! **They do not open on Mondays.

Pablo Neruda's house in Isla Negre is considered an iconic treasure for Chileans to visit. And it is a good introduction to one of the twentieth century's greatest poets. The English acoustiguide is very good, and the walk through takes about 30 minutes. We visited during Chilean summer holidays, and there were many families in line. Our wait was about... More

If you only see one of Pablo Neruda´s houses, this is the one to see. The house is an excellent museum. The tour is guided with a pre-recorded tour guide, in multiple languages that you control at your own pace. You just push the button for the location you are at in the museum. The recorded information was very informative.... More

Nerudas house is a fascinating mixture of art objects and artefacts all in a lovely beach and reef area. Arrive early to try and avoid lengthy queues and possible waiting in heat. Take time to absorb all the house and use the time after your visit enjoy the nearby beach and the museums shop, the cafe is ok but they want... More

This was our first exposure to Pablo Neruda, by visiting his unusual home near the Pacific Ocean. After visiting and seeing his many accomplishments and eclectic lifestyle, we were able to read some of his poetry which is very interesting and prolific. His life story is so interesting and the souvenirs of an unusual life abound in this home. Well... More

Me encantó esta casa de Neruda en particular, es la casa donde está la mayor colección de artículos del escritor. El sitio me pareció bellísimo, el contraste de pinos con el mar hizo que me sintiera en un lugar especial. I would totally recommend this place to visit, this particular house was beautiful and it holds the main collection of... More

Both Pablo Neruda and Matilde, the love of his life among many loves are buried here. Neruda was a passionate collector. A lot of his stuff is here as in Valparaiso. Isla Negra is in itself a place to visit and stay, not far from both Santiago and Valparaiso. We bought wonderful fresh seafood here from road vendors.

We went to Isla Negra to see Pablo Neruda's house on a tour and then found out that it is not open on Mondays. We did walk around the compound and look through the fence holes to get a idea of what it was like. We also went down to the beach to get an idea of the surroundings that... More
