Lovely to sit down and have a drink and watch the bats and sunset behind them. We left town around 3.30 and had an hour to look around the mountain and killing caves. I would leave around 3 so your not rushing walking up and...More

Wow. This is quite something to see. Visit the mountain, grab a drink, sit and enjoy. There is quite a lot to see prior to the bats exiting the cave, so leave a few hours to visit the mountain temples before taking in the bats....More

The bat Caves were amazing! Couldnt believe the millions of bats that came flying out at dusk! They continued to fly out of the cave for a long time. Rich told us they travel about 50 kms away to eat.

We sat below the caves, underneath a cooling fan, sipping a beer, waiting for the bats to fly out the cave. Amazing.

During sunset the bats come out of their cave to search for food. There must be millions of them! You can buy something to drink and eat around the caves and relax until the spectacle starts. Take a tuk tuk from Battambang.

We arrived 45 minutes early to ensure a good viewing however the bats flew out late and from a different exit than expected. By the time we saw them it was too dark to see the bats in flight or take photos.

The bat cave was something else. Watching millions of bats exit their cave for the night creating a giant snake in the sky was a spectacle and one that can't be missed. I would advise getting a tuk tuk directly their for 520pm, as they...More

The flow of bats is quite incredible. Unfortunately, weather was not on our side. With a nice sunset it should be even wow-er !
