Just nothing special about this. You ride on a wagon powered by a lawn mower engine for about 2 kilometers.

Enjoyed the quick ride on the bamboo train. For $5 each you are taken along some track to see the countryside. As they are doing maintenance on the track and using it for trains to Phnom Penh it is a service which will soon no...More

The ride was very nice but I think I had been expecting more of an adventure. This would be very suitable for a family with kids. Good scenery along the ride and everything worked well, even now that the real tourist season is ending.

When we were there (Dec 2017), only a short stretch (300m) was open but was still worth for us to do it. Soon, there will be a new train made for tourists, though not on the original location. Very special attraction in Battambang.

The Bamboo Train has apparently been a very interesting feature for a trip back in time, though we had been forewarned that it might not be operating. And it wasn't operating so our planned trip on it was cancelled, which we felt was a great...More

Actually we were on the bamboo train only for about 15 mins in total and payed 5$ for that. But the people are nice and poor so I think they really can use your money.

Unique and enjoyable ride down the tracks and fun to see how simple the bamboo trains are. At $5 per person we thought it was pretty expensive for what it was but won’t get the chance to do similar in many places

Although they're being broken apart by The Crossings of the road it is absolutely so remarkable that they did exist at any time. You don't do it now then never do it cuz it won't be there.

Basically a hand made railway with a bamboo cart to sit on. You have to walk about 100m in between because they are rebuilding the tracks. It’s out in the blistering heat, no shade. Worth a ride. Also the tuk tuk ride there is nice...More
