Take your camera! We were amazed to see all the little boats out at the same time. Of course the time to go is at dusk when you can see the timeless view of the bridge which is the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world. Have some champagne and toast to your wonderful visit to Myanmar!

To each there own but found this almost a waste of time . The bridge is really just wooden planks in poor condition secured via solid wood ( teak.?) supports ~ 4meters above dry ground. Very hot and very crowded. However on the plus side it is free .

What's so special about this U Bein Bridge? Is it the longest bridge in the world? No. Is it architecturally spectacular like the famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco? No. Is it a modern bridge? No. It is only the longest teak bridge in the world. It is just that primitive bridge without that complicated design of modernity. But... More

What a delightful bridge and a real treasure. An evening drink in boats under the bridge was most enjoyable

We did not walk across the bridge but we did join hundreds in boats, usually for two or four people, with the rest of our group for the sunset viewing of this famous teak bridge. In the end it was worth the slight hassle and our group, like many others, had sparkling wine to help while away the time till... More

We went during water festival, and the bridge was saturated and slippery so make sure you dont wear thongs! It was super busy at sunset, unlucky for us there was no sunset that night to view as it was very cloudy and dull. If you can walk on a bit further away from the crowds its a lot more pleasant. The... Came here with a very high note. But was so crowded, there was apparently no water and sunset was horrible. I suggest to visit in rainy season

If you ever visit to Mandalay this is a must day trip at the sunset. Usually you get it as a part of a day tour and they know to time it so that you have some time before the sunset. It comes with a beautiful view and some sort of a magic athmisphere.

We were hoping to catch the sunrise at the bridge, but too bad it was raining all morning. Instead we found a different ambience of the bridge, cold, misty, wet... Lovely! The od teak structure if the bridge was looking very mysterious.. Yes, would recommend visiting this spot for sunrise
