Nothing to recommend here, just a long beach with water too brown to swim in it Nothing like Bahia I think Aracaju has an upkeep problem, many places run down, dirty and nothing I would ever return to

Its an excellent beach avenue, full of beaches, restaurants, souvenirs spots, beside al the beaches every one better than the other. I recomend to drive for most than 10 kms. thats where the beaches are cleaner.

If you´re all for a rustic, natural experience, you´re going to love the scenary at the Atalaia Beach. The main avenue has great hotel options and excellent restaurants.

Atalaia beach is just like all the beaches in Aracaju. A vast extension of sand with a brownish yellow ocean. This color is due to two rivers that cross the state. I wouldn't recommend swimming here uf you're not a local. We have antibodies you guys don't. The structure of bars is poor and usually dirty. You'll see the same... More

If you've ever been to Daytona beach in Florida, Atalaia is similar with its hard packed sand which makes it ideal for jogging and or running and walking along the beachfront. If your into surfing this beach also has some nice waves you can catch. There are also quite a few places on the beach were you can purchase food... More

Atalaia beach has no structure, so it makes very hard to spend the day at the beach. Although the water is very clean, it's brownish because the river meets the ocean

Best beach in Aracaju, good restaurants and bars. Good waves for surfing and bodysurfing and plenty of people to watch.

Atalaia avenue is beautiful, full of restaurants and lots of entertainment. One of the Aracaju post cards you can't miss it!

The sea can be a bit rough. The promenade is long and nice to walk on. There are some dodgy places along the coastline - we had concerns about health & safety. There was loud and annoying music played on the beach. Not safe to walk around in the evening.
