You can get to see a variety of turtles very close and we had our own informative English speaking guide. Our young kids loved it. Close to aquarium too so can see both in a day.

My sister and I loved the initiative of the project! We liked the education and information about turtles and how they get caught in the fishing nets. It's also a good way for people to learn what they can do to keep the oceans clean. However, before coming to the park, we tought that the turtles in the tanks were... More

I normally don't go to parks that have animals in captivity but this is a non profit organization so I thought it would be fine. The given information about pollution and the effects of fishing on marine wildlife was good, especially for kids. Unfortunately, the turtles that are kept there are not living a very good life. They are kept... More

Nice visit to have a close look at sea turtles. It is not big, but you can have a 30-60minutes walk.

This ONG is amazing. They do a great job and you should get to know it. You'll be helping them too. The R$18 to enter are worthy !

You can see lot of Tamar Prjects in Brazil and they are saying that this one is one of the best - I can compare just with another one from Florianopolis and this is really better. But still quite small. There is lot of kind of turtles but visit this place takes like 30 min maximum.

Fifteen years after visiting Project Tamar we went back with the children. Good opportunity to see rescued turtles up close and happened to see a rescued turtle having a fishing hook removed from its throat. Great to see the project has flourished in the past 15 years and having a positive impact on the numbers of young turtles surviving through... More
