Neighbourhood:
Sé, which derives its name from Sé Square, is a central neighbourhood in historic São Paulo. Close by, the Law School, the Museum of the Court of Justice and the Metropolitan Cathedral offer inspiring architecture. If you are looking for cultural activities, head to Caixa Cultural and check the schedule. In the area there is a popular pedestrian street called “Rua Direita”, one of the first streets in the region, which today marks the crowded perimeter. Sé is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.

Enjoy a early dinner at Reserva Bistrot
Seat at a table by the window and enjoy to look at Paulista Avenue at night cars and people walking in front of your window.
After that enjoy a movie. They always have a good award winning selection

This place is very agreeable, and you can expect to view art's movies, French movies and in general cult movies. The facility have a cafeteria, a restaurant, a kiosk of French bread and a bookstore. But if you would like to meet young people, this is not the right place. The public there is quite mature!

Like an oasis, Reserva Cultural is a breath of fresh air in the middle of São Paulo. It has a cafè, a bistrô (you will be able to look at the avenue from there, but since the Reserva is below street level, your view will be a bit different), a bookstore and a bakery, plus the movie theatre with european and niche movies.
I spent around one hour there, especially on the cafè, where I ordered what seems to be their main dish, the tartine. Mine was the R$16 one, with goat cheese and tomato, but they had a R$12. I also had a cappuccino and small chocolate pie, that was pretty good.
Overall, I don't think this place is all that expensive for the size of the dishes and for the location. If you decide to have lunch at the bistrô you will spend a bit, but I think it is worth to go there at least once in you trip.

Reserva Cultural it's literary a scape route from all the madness that is SP. Here you can watch alternative movies (most of them are European), eat delicious food (at café or at restaurant) and buy good books at their bookstore.

Located in the heart of av. Paulista is reserva cultural, with theaters and movies. We went to see a movie, great quality of the place constable seats and the place is also great to have a coffee and watch the people go by at the avenida Paulista. Only downside was that people continued to go into the cinema after 10 minutes the started which is really annoying and shows that Reserva cultural could be more respectful with the people that arrived in time.

Great theater, good atmosphere. Don't expect to find any blockbuster playing here, go to one of the malls nearby instead if that's what you're looking for. They always have a great selection of showings/films and an adorable gift shop I love visiting.

São Paulo hosts a great diversity of artsy movie theaters around the city - some of them with prices from R$ 1 to R$ 4, as is the case with CCSP Vergueiro and CCBB. This theater, located in the heart of Paulista Avenue, however, offers generally a very high-quality calendar of new movies for more expensive prices - though still in line with the conventional theater prices for this city. A good and very comfortable choice (great chairs and lounge area) for catching up a new acclaimed movie.

The Reserva Cultural is a cinema owned by French people, and you can see it as soon as you walk in. They have a boulangerie inside that sells croissants and pains au chocolat, and a policy of 'no popcorn or soda, but instead good food'. The film selection is very good and they're in pretty much every film festival that takes place in the city.
