The Copan Building is definitely one of the biggest and well known landmarks in Sao Paulo. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer (designed the capital of Brazil - Brasilia as well), it is definitely a pioneer style in modem architecture in Brazil.

I was pleasantly surprised when I realized that our hotel is in the neighborhood of this building. It was an excellent overture to our Brazilian holiday where one of the "musts" was a visit to Curitiba just because of Oscar Niemeyer's museum.

This landmark of 20th Century urbanism is emblematic of the Brazilian tendency to look toward the future and constantly reinvent what exists. It impresses for its huge scale, as well as for its fluid lines.

If you love Street shooting, Copan is a must, its architecture design is a little different from the ordinary buildings, you can get nice shots from bottom or from the top of Italia building.
