Theatro Municipal is one of the most important theater in São Paulo and it´s so well mantained cosidering the place where is located and the interior is so so beautiful. Take a time and book one concert season there!! Enjoy architecture and classic music!

There is a free guided tour in English at 11 am on weekdays. It lasts one hour which is more than we wanted to spend there but was very informative. We learned how affordable it is: 40 to 120 reais only, sometimes even free. I...More

One of the most beautiful buildings in São Paulo. Recommended is to take the guided tour to learn the history of the building. Only bad point was that we couldn’t see the main room because of a rehearsal going on at the time.

Inspired in the Opera House from Paris, this theather has and special and splendorous architeture. There are guided tours but you have to be enrolled. Check the visiting hours and arrive early. Enjou the tour. It's really interesting!

Hardly the Palais Garnier, but would qualify as a pretty grand regional German opera house - lots of polished brass and bronze, if not that much gilt. The glass in the windows at the front from the outside is the best I have seen at...More

Besides its beauty, outside and especially inside, it tells us a bit of Brasil's moments 100 years ago. I recommend the guide tour to have a flavor of it.

The theater is really beautiful. It has been recently restored, we had a guided visit and is free. Getting there at night is a bit of a challenge. The area surrounding the theater is dark..

An amazing piece of old São Paulo! Definitely worth seeing, especially the interior - it's fabulous! It's a great spot for taking beautiful pictures, too. But you have to be there early, otherwise it's too crowded. Must see!

The theater is truly beautiful. It has been recently restored, so it sparks with details of gold and marble and rich red velvet. We went to see a dance performance with live music, but what we wanted was to see the theater, one of our...More
