About
The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

Neighbourhood: Ibirapuera
Ibirapuera Park, the highlight of this neighbourhood, is a family-friendly area to have a picnic, relax, play sports, exercise or appreciate art. It gets crowded during the weekends and is a popular leisure destination for residents. Its 1,584 square kilometers holds three lakes, two museums and several other cultural spaces. The park hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as free music concerts and a water and light show celebrating the holidays at the end of the year. There are two important monuments to visit, the Obelisk and the Flag Monument. Ibirapuera is a perfect escape!

    Huge park, nice place
A great place for a walk, rest, but also for sports. Here you will find a place for a picnic, playgrounds and group sports, but also secluded places away from the crowds. A huge park with wide asphalt roads with separate lanes for pedestrians, runners and bicycles. In many places there are stalls with drinks, acai or coconut water, but also a few pubs. Beautiful vegetation, flowers and plenty of large trees for shade. Two ponds, and in one of them a fountain illuminated after dark. The part of the park dedicated to culture - buildings with art galleries and exhibitions, artistic murals, a planetarium and several other attractions. Certainly not for one day.

Recommend , just to see the locals enjoying themselves
Great space in a concrete jungle. Ride a bicycle or tandem around the track devoted to cyclists. Plenty to see , birds on the lakes, coffee stops and there toilets within the park . Good security . We had some lovely jasmine flowers and scents when we took our break there. Good way to walk or jog of the large portion meals .

Gorgeous city park similar to NYC's Central Park
This gorgeous park has everything for everyone. Totally safe and welcoming featuring food kiosks of every type spread throughout the park. Sand volleyball courts, astro turf soccer courts, massage tables, dance sessions, rollerblading and so much more spread throughout the park. They offer lots art exhibits and beautiful grounds to just sit back and take in the scenery, Well worth a visit.

    Gorgeous Park
Lovely park, absolutely huge! Could spend hours there. It is gated and guarded so felt very safe and there are so many people about enjoying the fresh air. Can hire bikes which is fun way to see more of the park. Plenty of snack vendors and toilets. A must when in São Paulo!

    Rent the bikes
We loved walking around this park but biking lets you see so much more! It’s absolutely worth it to rent a bike to see the whole park. It was very inexpensive and they have options for people who may not know how to.

    Very nice
Absolutely breathtaking. Lush greenery, birds chirping, fish in the water, turtles swimming, long walks, plenty of activities to do. I just enjoyed the views from the bridge and spend some time walking around the park. I especially enjoyed one of the restaurants next to the water with live music. Highly recommend
