The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Ipiranga
Named after the Ipiranga River, this region is home to Independence Park, where it’s said Brazilian Independence was proclaimed. Its gardens and the tree-lined main street offer visitors a gracious view. The neighbourhood also hosts assorted museums and has a strong local feel. Ipiranga is a calm area, with a variety of good dining places and its own Municipal Market, which features flowers, meat, vegetables, fruits and some special events. Outside the main subway stations you can experience the busy streets, but you just need to walk a few blocks to get back the residential serenity of the area.

Good museum, with elegant garden, but a bit poorly maintained. Good exhibits about the history of Brazil.

Judging by the information in other reviews, I'm assuming that this is related to the Paulista museum as I couldn't see any other museum when there.

This museum is currently closed for renovations, but the whole area is stunning and worth visiting even without the museum.

The park is nice but sad to see that the building since years are being renovated. The fountains are not working and no options to cafes and restaurants. Nice to see the people enjoying the park skating, but actually is the only activity possible!

I expected more from the collection, but what saddens me most is the shameful spoofing. Instead of explaining the works and leaving to the public the task of analyzing and judging the facts, the responsible have made sure to explicit their progressive world views, revealing flagrant historical anachronism. The Impression that is left is that they treat the public as unable to give up their own common sense by pushing down a worldview that likes those responsible for the museum, and worse, using public money for it, which is not surprising.
I miss what the old Ipiranga Museum once represented to so many generations.

The Ipiranga Museum is beautiful! The building is wonderful, the garden super beautiful and well taken care of. The collection could be richer, even to make just the facilities!! The screens are beautiful, but the rest of the collection did not please me! Ancient objects mixed with modern objects... finally, the collection leaves to be desired and needs special attention even so that it can arouse the interest and curiosity of visitors!

The museum was beautiful after the reform but the exhibition of the museum is disappointing. There is almost nothing that existed in ancient times like the chariot, Don Pedro's dresses, there existing only a lot of ancient quinquillarias and that tell little about our history. A shame!

The most beautiful is the surrounding landscape! The museum has been reformed and tells the fantastic history of the independence of Brazil!
It is worth knowing the space yes but it is a very boring museum, monotonous!!!
