Redenção is one of my favorite spots in Porto Alegre! It's specially crowded on weekends or holidays! On Sundays there's an open air flea market!

Perfect free space for walking, drinking local MATE tea, lay down on the grass, rest, biking, running and even enjoy with kids. Mostly crowded on weekends, but there still being a good place to enjoy. Close to historic central area, can be accessed by walk. Close to rstaurants and night life area also.

For me the good time to go is on Sundays. There is a handcraft fair every Sunday from 10am till 5pm. Like the offers and good prices and sometimes there is another event going on. The park is not well maintained and it is a pity. I guess it is because of the amount of people that go every weekend... More

A Sunday delight activity to do at the park: the famous Brick da Redencao, with its local handcrafts to ancient artifacts and utensils. Bring your chimarrao and walk along the various booth and tents....and of course enjoy the local food stands!

It's not beautiful or clean. People usually visit the flee market, leaving 20 minutes later. Full of politicians and their supporters near the elections.

A good place to spend a weekend afternoon and meet friends, but not a particularly nice park. It's the best thing Porto Alegre has to offer outdoors and locals seem to love it, but it lacks safety and is not as beautiful as it might appear when people talk about it.

This park is just great! It shows the different ways of enjoy the city. Live music, waking the dogs and actually taking them to socialise with others, cafes, chill under a tree drinking chimarrão, organic market on Saturdays and the city most famous flea market. During the day is normally pretty safe to be there, but wouldn't risk it at... More

Nice park, could be a bit cleaner though. My husband and I have walked it many times during out visit to Porto Alegre. There is a dog park inside of it and many people bring their dogs to play. I recommend it as a place to sit and have a picnic

Farroupilha park is where the Brique stays, has a lot of green fields and trees for the family and friends get together.
