Especially on weekends the park gets quite full and people are enjoying with their families and friends a stroll, artists, artisans or simply doing their weekend jogging run. For children they even have a small library which unfortunately righty now still is closed.

An absolute gem in the city. I felt so relax the moment I entered the park. This is the kinda place I can spend my entire weekend just browsing the people, animals and my books. I will definitely go back again if I have a chance to visit Brazil.

It's a great place for relax, seize the sun and nature. Good for pictures, picnics, read a book laying in the grass. Also, it's a beautiful place for photoshoots!

It is a very pleasant park. Not really big, it has a lake with ducks and turtles and the visit of some other interesting birds. Good for going with children and with dogs. It has a modern illumination at night and holds some events, regularly.

We lived in an apartment over looking Moinhos de Vento Park and so enjoyed the view night and day. We spent lots of time enjoying the park, relaxing, reading a book, people watching. In the nice weather, on some weekends, there were food trucks in the park and that was enjoyable, especially for us as Canadians to see the familiar food truck scene. Rua Comendador Caminha, a short quiet street lining one side of the park has a few nice restaurants and bars, especially the pizza restaurant on the corner.

This is another famous park in Porto Alegre, located in a very affluent (and expensive) area of the city. It has a good green and vibrant atmosphere, with your regular day-to-day jogger and serious trainees.

I have grown up going to this park. Today I took my 8yo son there.
Still the same beautiful and huge park. Right in the heart of a well known neighborhood.
Couples and young adult jogging, kids playing, others sitting enjoying the nature. Birds singing...
Lovely and a wonderful park to relax or exercise.

This park is based near Muinos de Ventos, a pleasant, slightly upmarket area of Porto Alegre. As such, it is safe and pleasant for a stroll or seat to watch the world go by. There is an ecological library for children, a play area, a lake, and the original windmill, in need of restoration (apparently in the offing). In the week it is quiet but on Sundays very popular and busy.

In Rio Grande do Sul capital Porto Alegre, the "Moinhos de Vento" park, mostly known as "Parcão" is where the gauchos go to run, practice different sports, chat with friends, drink herbal tea "chimarrão" or just walk.

The area is a green lung from the city together with "Redenção" park and "Marinha do Brasil" park. There is a very small and beautiful lake with a windmill, which gives the name to the park and the upscale neighbourhood.

Especially at the end of the day and during the weekends the park is full of people running. Many people even come from other neighbourhoods by car, park around the area and exercise there. It's a nice spot if you want to be among locals.

A lovely park compared to others in Porto Alegre but still in need of better care and landscaping. It’s only good because the others are so bad. It could be so much more.
