It's a different program to do in Pipa. It's paid. There are several trails through the woods. Along the route there are several viewpoints that make for beautiful photos and it is possible to observe (if you're lucky) turtles and even dolphins. At the end of the trail there is a staircase that goes down to Madeiro beach. Plan to start the day visiting the place and enjoy the rest of the day at the beach.

We went there as a part of day trip around Pipa. You can see turtles from view points swimming around in the ocean. Great vies for photos. Worth visiting, but nothing too special.

Great Park for hiking and enjoy nature and beach views. You have option for one hour or half day of tour. It is cheap, about 5 dollars for the ticket (parking included).

If you love nature, you must go to this reserve of Atlantic Forest. It is an easy walk, and you can take different trails, from 1 hour to 2,5hrs. There are several mirantes with amazing views of Golfinho abd Madeiro beaches, and if you walk in silence you may even be lucky enough to see the little monkeys... also has a very interesting Tamar Project exhibition of their work with turtles.

A good place for the ones who like to be in touch with nature, the animals, likes to walk through the forest and so on.
It's also a good way to see the dolfins and the turtles from an upside point of view, and later, to reach the Madeiro beach through upstairs in the "forest".
Specially good for children, but not recommended for people with mobility deficiencies.

The mission of this small sanctuary is to educate visitors about the special and fragile nature of the Atlantic Forest system. It is designed and maintained in such a way as to afford the visitor an inside view of why the ecological balance of the forest system is so important to the planet. Go in the morning to walk the trails, stop and watch for dolphins at the various overlooks provided, and then go visit the museum. It's all very nice, and you get a good idea of why we should be protecting these areas for our grandchildren!

We recently spent four days in Pipa. After a couple of days at the beach, we were up for something different. We spent a couple of hours at the Sanctuary which we greatly enjoyed. The walks are not difficult, and there are varying lengths of trails depending on how much you want to do. We saw one small monkey in the forested part, enjoyed the beautiful vistas, and saw the great sea turtles in the water below. There is a small, decent exhibit as well. As the area is well forested, it does not matter if you go in the heat of the day. Definitely a worthwhile excursion which gives a little diversity to a beach trip as well.

This nature reserve is definitely worth a visit. We didn't see that many animals: no turtles, one small snake, lots of little monkeys. The monkeys were really cute and came quite close. It gets nice and cool among the trees and there are some great views of the beaches below. The exhibition is interesting too, so walk all the way to the headland.
You can get down to Praia Madeiro from the reserve.

This is an excellent park! We didn't know about this park until we arrived in Pipa. And what a pleasant surprise!! You have to pay R$10 (October/14) to enter the park and you can stay there the whole day.
You can walk in the bushes, spot some sea turtles and dolphins! It is amazing to see them in their natural habitat. There are lots of view points that shows you Dolphins Bay and Madeiro Beach. From there, you can also visit Madeiro beach and return to the park for more walking/learning about sea turtles.
Overall, an excellent park. We really enjoyed our day there!

Saludos!
