no need to be religious to step in this historical church built by the Portugueses in the 1600's. Also a great place to witness the devotion of Brazil for the Lord. Locals call it the church of the rustler.

The 'historic center' of Natal is not much to see; few historic buildings remain, and most of those are in ruined condition. But this church is very much an exception. It's been lovingly restored and the folk art in the interior is moving.

After the new high-rises, traffickous avenues and shopping malls, it makes for a quaint change to visit the church and musuem, although the latter has very few exhibits.
