This is the first hill up on the way to Rio's famous Sugar Loaf. It offers it's own marvelous view from the top (215 meters) but its base is also a good place for hiking.

Tough to imagine this cable-car destination is actually not the final destination. But it is inscrutable by itself, and worth the effort. Actually a way-stop you get to visit on the way, and then upon returning from Sugar Loaf.

We liked the set up much better than the sugar loaf. Nice walking paths and not so cramped. The views are also very exciting.

In front of a beautiful bay, the Urca Restaurant is an incredible place. You can eat inside, or order and eat at the bank by the sea shore. Unforgettable!

proof that the old and the new can live together
harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where
all major companies house their offices. However, the
region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like
