This is the first hill up on the way to Rio's famous Sugar Loaf. It offers it's own marvelous view from the top (215 meters) but its base is also a good place for hiking.

In front of a beautiful bay, the Urca Restaurant is an incredible place. You can eat inside, or order and eat at the bank by the sea shore. Unforgettable!

The post card of the Rio de Janeiro, the Urca Hill and Sugar Loaf are the must to see place. Unfortunately it is quite expensive experience, just R$ 80 to take the tram. At least it is safe, well organized and with unforgetable view. From...More

It is very close to the Sugar Loaf where you can photograph beautiful photos of your tour taking advantage of the most beautiful views of the city of Rio de Janeiro. A bicycle ride would link the useful to the enjoyable.

Morro da Urca is part of the iconic sugar loaf, in my opinion is the better than Christ the Redeemer, because it is a enclosed area that you can relax without worrying about being mugged and enjoy a fabulous view. Don't miss it!!!

It is necessary to take the cable car to and from here to then catch a second cable car to and from Sugar Loaf mountain. It is a good sized area with eating, drinking and toilet facilities with good views in all directions.

Downtown Rio is the place where this city was born.
With modern skyscrapers sharing space with historical
buildings and landmarks, this neighbourhood is living
proof that the old and the new can live together
harmoniously. As you would expect, downtown is where
all major companies house their offices. However, the
region isn’t restricted to businesses. Gems such like
the “Paço Imperial,” which is a cultural centre that
