Even if you are not catholic this is worth a visit just for the amazing views of the city and the remarkable feat if engineering it took to build the thing!

Loved it! The ride up was not bad (little busses) and even though there were a ton of people, I still found it wonderful and impressive. A must see if you are in Rio.

Had a friend take us up early on Saturday a.m. before 8. A truly stunning view of the surrounding area. Gets very crowded very quickly. Not alot of room at the site.

This is as impressive and moving as you have heard. It definitely deserves the ranking as the top attraction in Rio - the statue itself is majestic and the 360 degree views of the city are also amazing. We first visited in the afternoon but...More

Sorry for delay in responding. I would go on your own, in my opinion there is no need for a guide, the views are what you are going for. It's a short taxi ride to sugar loaf. If you use uber it's very cheap

I have no experience with visiting during Easter but what I can recommend is that you hire a private driver to ensure you arrive at the top by 8 am to buy the tickets at the counter. There were very few ppl when I arrived at... More
