🇬🇧 Iconic place where paragliders take off. Very difficult to park on weekends; much easier to park on week days. There is an external paid parking that is not official and 5min walking from the entrance. Then walk for 20min from entrance to the take off place in a very steep and exhaustive path.

Very cool place and easy hike. I thought the walk up the road to the trail from the main st actually much harder and steeper than the actual trail. Haha

I didn't see any monkeys but I saw a ton of birds. If you hike past the trail to the end of the parking lot you can see the hang gliders fly off the cliff.

Nice hike, with a great view as a reward at the end. Look for the monkeys on your way up. Level : moderate

This was my first time hang gliding, and I could not think of a better location to have done it! Between the views the adrenaline, I cannot describe how amazing this experience was. Well worth the money! As a first time jumper, I was admittedly overrun with adrenaline, but Ricardo was very professional, calm, and clear in his instructions. This made the experience smooth and free of any issues. Highly recommend you check this off your bucket list, if you make it down to Rio.

The hike is easy with an approximate duration of 40 minutes to climb, the hike is allowed from 8 am to 3 pm. From this schedule does not leave anyone more person up.
They take your details at the entrance and you have to come back before 5 pm or you could pay penalty fee.
The view is wonderful! One of the best places to visit in Rio!

Although you visit here to hike. We went pass this place on a jeep tour and we could see hand gliders taking off.

It was a wonderful view with the hand gliders circling.

I'm not a hiker, so this hike was very hard for me and we got dropped off about 20 minutes down the road from the main entrance, not good.
Once you get to the top it was worth every sweat and tear I shed on the hike up. Amazing views. I recommend going early, wear comfortable shoes, bring lots of water and don't booze the night before.

We took and uber right to start of the hike (highly advised). Otherwise you have alot more to walk from the bottom.

The hike took around 40mins as we took our time and stopped in the middle. And around 25mins coming down.

The hike is definitely worth it! Once at the top you will be mesmerized by the views. It's totally out this world. And not many people either!

We stayed at the top for around 45mins, taking some nice pictures.

Take plenty of water, and wear comfy trainers.
