It was great that we could walk through narrow streets and stars and see many of the inner parts too. The guide was authentic and told and gave a lot of insight.

The tour guide, who is also a resident of this favela, was very informative of both his favela and the history behind it. There is nothing like walking through a place you only read or hear about. I felt safe but was aware of the...More

Joined the favela walking tour with Carlos. He's the very guy that can provide you with in-depth information about the lives and background of the favela in Rio. The tour lasts around 1 hour and I felt it was quite safe on that day of...More

This is a wonderful tour, and it lets you know the favela is filled with kind and decent people. It's led by locals, who know all the characters you will encounter on the way. I had a good experience. However, you should also be aware...More

Rafael picked me up in Ipanema and we took a short drive to rocinha. He gave us a good overview of life there and told us about the way people get by without the lack of public support. We passed by loads of locals who...More

The culture in the favelas is unlike what is presented on the media. This walking tour lets a tourist experience what it is like to be a local for a few hours. Do not leave Rio without going on one of these tours.

If you want to experience all aspects of Rio you must visit a favela, and this is the most notorious one. I recommend not going by yourself - join a guided tour. I was a little surprised at how developed this place is - no...More

We visited Rocinha with our guide Pedro today, and I was excited to see the community's life from the inside. The tour was perfectly timed and planned as we spend just enough time to feel the spirit of the place without being bored or overwhelmed...More

The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional
and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood

everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs,
chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and
more live side-by-side. There are options for all
price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
