Went to Rio in April 2016 with my entire family. Tried to find Bip Bip one night because my dad and son both play guitar but there was nothing where Bip Bip was meant to be, we were using the GPS on our phones too.

On the night we visited, there was only beer (on the alcohol front) on a self serve basis, and I guess this is the norm. The owner sits out front and monitors and takes payment while a bunch of musicians play lovely samba music. Seating...More

Such a unique place! Tiny place with no room for patrons really - it all happens outside on the street. A handful of local musicians come around and play great, authentic music. I think they volunteer their time as it's all very informal. There's a...More

Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional
and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood
is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and
traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of
everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs,
