Can food explain a culture? Cook in Rio offers Brazilian cooking classes in English to foreign visitors wanting to learn about Brazil, and some of the most fun and delicious Brazilian meals and drinks, like cassava sticks, shrimp moqueca or pork feijoada, batida de coco, caipirinhas and pe de moleque (peanut brittle). Every weekday at 10am or 4pm. The hilarious Chef Simone Almeida awaits you for messy fun.

We had an excellent time at Simone's cooking class. We were taught a few new tricks and were guided through the whole preparation of the dish including drinks. Simone also helped us to play the rest of our time in rio. Highly recommended this experience.

This was the most fabulous experience in Rio! 4 hours of cooking fun complete with caipirhinas, apps, and a delicious dinner and dessert. Chef Simone is hilarious, has a great energy and makes everyone feel welcome. Go see her and enjoy the fabulous food.
