A nice waterfall, in the form of a water cascade. It is forbidden to enter and swim directly at the cascade (it is dangerous), but there is a swimming pool below, where you can also take nice commemorative photos. The cascade and the bathing area are separated by an old stone bridge. There are benches and garbage cans. Quite crowded on weekends.

The waterfall is easily accessible - a few or several minutes walk along an asphalt road from the parking lot. Entrance to Tijuca National Park is free.

Beautiful! Near parking so easy to get there. Wear bug spray. Some people had change of clothing to go in water where you are allowed to go. Water cold and refreshing.

We arranged with a taxi driver for 300 reais, there were 2 of us, to take us to 4 places that they had recommended me to visit in the FLORESTA DE TIJUCA. They were VISTA CHINESA, MESA DO IMPERADOR, CASCATINHA TAUNAY and CAPILLA MAYRINK. The waterfall is not close to Vista Chinesa, I even think the taxi driver left the park and entered through another entrance. Very nice place. It is formed by the Tijuca River, the Conde River and other tributaries. It is not allowed to bathe under the waterfall, you can only do so in the bathing well called JOB DE ALCANTARA, just under the stone bridge. It's very nice to take photos.
