The biggest graffiti in the world was painted by Eduardo Cobra for the 2016 Olympics. The Hugh painting describes the ethnic tribes of the continents. The faces looks like 3 dimension objects, almost alive. Beside the faces there are maps of the continents. I could not found correlation between the faces and the maps. But otherwise it is a very nice peace of art. Not far is the Museum of the Future that was designed by Calatrava.

The Mural is in front of the maritime terminal. When visiting the Museum of Tomorrow or the Museum of Art (MAR), you can include the mural on your route. It takes about 15 minutes on foot to get to the Mural. A work painted by Eduardo Kobra and worth a visit. Free and beautiful.

The huge Etnias or "Ethnicities" mural was spray-painted by the world renowned Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra in 2016, It was completed just before the 2016 Olympic games on the Olympic Boulevard, or Avenida Rodrigues Alves - where now the big cruise ships moore.
It comprises of the world map in two sections and five different ethnic faces from the five continents. These are a Karen from Thailand for Asia, an Huli from Papua-New-Guinea for Oceania, a Tapajo from the Amazone for America, a Chukchi from Siberia for Asia, and a Mursi from Ethiopia for Africa (can you spot who is who?).
Overall a must-see very impressive piece of modern art. Kobra also has done other impressive murals elsewhere, such as Ayrton Senna in Lapa in Rio, and Anne Frank in Amsterdam, and many more.

This artist really captured every detail in his work. It feels like his art work is watching and speaking to you. I couldn't stop staring at each person he painted. I would definitely recommend seeing this along with as much art you can get to in this phenomenal city. Maybe 15-30 minutes here at tops.

Artwork is striking but quite faded. We were there on a weekday morning and it was very quiet, so didn’t feel super safe. Not really worth going.

Walked along here a couple of weeks ago with my partner and our 12 year old. The artwork is certainly impressive and photo worthy! I would not go out of my way to have travelled here, but, if you are in the area then do have a look.

We actually spent an hour, very close to samba city, museum of tomorrow and aquarium. Lovely area, felt very safe even though some areas very few people. Nicely landscaped, see renovation of some of the warehouses in the area. It’s amazing to see them in full size, on location. Also tram runs along this area, worth riding.

I really liked the energy in this part of Rio. close to the sea, and a nice place to visit for a walk. The street art is great.

Beautiful murals made on the occasion of the Rio Olympics in 2016. The largest mural in the world, it seems, and portraits are made: a tajapo boy from Brazil, an African Mursi woman, a kayin from Thailand, a Supi man from Northern Europe and a Huli inhabitant from New Guinea. They represent the common ancestors of humanity: the indigenous peoples of America, Asia, Europe, Africa and Oceania. Spectacular.
