The tiny museum is closed - you can still see some of its content from the opened windows. It's more about the small hike to get there and very nice view over Paraty.

We were a bit disappointed that this was not a real fort anymore. There was only a lookout on the sea and the museum was closed.

Low-key with lovely views of the bay and islands, especially in late-afternoon light. Funny English signs about oyster danger! Man-eating? But actually the risk is of cutting yourself, so be careful when you walk down to the promontory below the fort.

Would only really suggest going if you have time on your hands. We did so we walked the short distance from the historic area. Its a nice walk, the views are good and at the right time of day you can spot many different birds....More

Building is nothing special, but the location is nice. There are nicer sights in the area, so this can be easily skipped without losing much. Bring insect repellant!
