Magic small village. The main center of Ilha Grande. A romantic and perfect place to take a wine at night front at the beach with good company. I recommend the "Pé Na Areia" restroom. MPB Brazilian music makes the place very special.

The Abraão Village is possible to take boats for all the bests places in the island and make all the bests rides around the Ilha Grande. I recommend the Speed Boats Tour. It’s worth do this.

With you go to spent only one entire day in Ilha Grande, the best way to know all the bests things is do the Speed Boat Tour.

The Abrão Village there are many stores that you can buy souvenirs, closet, and HAVAIANAS.

If you have some doubt about this place, I will be happy to help you. Contac me.

Bests Regards,

Not for sun bathing. But always people, shops, ferry and restaurants.

All boat tours are starting from this beach

This beach lies in the central area of Vila do Abraão, just next to the harbor area. For this reason, people don’t go here for a bath (unfortunately, because it’s the most accessible beach in the whole island!). Nevertheless, there are some cafes where you can sit and enjoy the sea view or you can simply have a walk on it.

At first it was my destination for a week in Ilha Grande, but I did not notice that it was a long weekend in Brazil and when I wanted to book I did not find anything in line. And for something like that it was. I got in Aracatiba and it was the best thing that could have happened to me 😀!
I can't think of the accommodations or the restaurants because I was only there for a few hours (which became eternal) as I went on a water excursion around the island.
Lots of people, lots of noise, little cleanliness: the opposite of what I prefer about a beach.
I couldn't wait to get back to the boat to leave...

the only bad thing is the food available..it tends to be just as simple and economy as spaggetti and rice, what could dissapoint some customers

Considered the "capital" of the island, Abraao village has many options of inns, stores, bars and restaurants. Good to serve as a central point to stay and get boat tours around. Since it is a kind of a (very) small city, it has some issues such as street cleaning, sewage treatment and may be very crowd at certain times of the year. Anyway, this is the main point to know this wonderful place that is Ilha Grande.

The beach is nice, there are several restaurants where you can enjoy a meal and a beer. It's nice to hang out there, especially at night.

This is the part of the Ilha Grande for people who want to hype. It has a multitude of shops and restaurants along with a wide range of hostels of all kinds. Local very warm and with lots of history in the ruins of the old prison. The main beach is not suitable for swimming but leaving the central area there are several beautiful beaches.

It's a point where everybody goes and it is usually crowded. My opinion? Use it as point to go out of the boat and just. The beauty is hidden behind this beach.

Though we prefer Abraazinho if your departure boat is only an hour or two away you can have a decent bathe or just take in the atmosphere where people tend to congregate. Also swam out to the little islands a coule of hundred yards out from the shore.
