We, of the 50's and 60's all know of Brigitte. She is just as cute as a statue. Not a lot to do here but a pleasant place to visit. Can see why the locals visit.

There is not much to see here except for the natural beauty of the island. The legend says that Brigitte Bardot hid out here for a month or so back in the 60s. So, they erected this statue of her. I didn't find it particularly flattering. It is easy to find, right at the end of the promenade that runs... More

Yes, sit on Brigitte's knee, give her a hug or a kiss, and take a few photos. Erected in her honor, she sort of helped give this town a real chi-chi atmosphere and boosted it internationally. This is where many of Rio's glam have second homes. The statue is on the promenade around the beach not far from the pier.

It is a nice art thing. Not sure about the relation to Buzios. There are lots of other street arts items you can find there...

I loved Brigitte Bardot which, for sure, dates me. So it was cool to visit her hangout and have my picture taken in her lap. This is a nice boardwalk leading to a string of small cove beaches, which, though crowded, are quite pleasant. This a cute little beach town with wonderful beaches. One of the better stops for our... In the 60s Brigitte spent sometime in Búzios and because that, the place apperas in international magazines. They thank her putting a statue there. Nice idea.

But interesting story behind it. If you're in the area, it is worth seeing, but I wouldn't do the trip just for this statue ;)

As I am French, it was quite funny and surprising to find the statue of Brigitte Bardot in Buzios. She made the world know and discover Buzios like she did in Saint Tropez. Buzios is the Brazilian Saint Tropez.
