See my review of the park - the Falls are within the Park and I apologise for my confusion! The Park itself is beautifully kept and I did gain some sense that the authorities really want to conserve this natural asset. I find this reassuring.

Igazu Falls is rightly considered one of the wonders of the world. We've been to Victoria Falls and Niagra Falls--Igazu is more extensive and offers better options for exploration of the surrounding jungle and river trips to visit the Falls and explore the environment
