There is something about being at the eastern most point of the Americas. The lighthouse itself looks cool but I found just looking out at the Atlantic Ocean the most enjoyable part of the entire experience. The cliffs are falling away but the affected areas are fenced off and clearly marked.

This site has both good and bad associated with it. The farol is at the easternmost point of the Americas, and the views out onto the Atlantic are fantastic. Due to a variety of reasons, however, the cliffs upon which the "lighthouse" (no house) was built are caving into the ocean. Still, enjoy the views as perhaps you contemplate a... More

The lighthouse itself is no big deal. They have a sun watch and stuff and the lighthouse is located at the eastern place of The Americas... But the best thing to do is to eat the ice creams that a small stand sells only there. They have a caipirinhas ice cream, which is delicious, and a part from that they... More

I have been to the Farol Cabo Branco a couple of times. It is a nice thing to visit with friends if you are in João Pessoa, but nothing special. As it is on the way to visit another tourist attraction, ponta do seixas, the closest point to Africa in Latin America, therefore the point where the sun raises first,... More

Not really the most beautiful lighthouse in the world and the surrondings are slowly falling into the sea. Not worth the walk but maybe a free ride.

It is just a sign saying you are at the easternmost point of the American continents, but just knowing it is so much fun. I went there walking from Cabo Branco beach. I enjoy the walk. Just be aware that there is nothing fantastic about it.

If you manage to get up in the morning you should definitely go here early in the morning to watch the sunrise(0515....). Spectacular to watch how quickly the sun rises at the most easterly point in the Americas. Beautiful.

Only because you have to tell your grandchildren you visited the easternmost point of the Americas, then you should go there.Otherwise skip it and live happily. Or unless you are driving that road and have 5 minutes to burn. Yes, you can take couple of very nice pictures.
