Include this church to see at glance, at old city of Belem (city foundation place). Star on Ver-o-Peso fair, walk to "Casa das 11 Janelas" (House of 11 Windows), surround the house on the edge of the Guama River and go to "Forte do Presepio"...More

Excellent museum with a fast amount of holy statues and many other artifacts used by the RC church. Very friendly staff, and security. coffee shop is closed. Rest rooms clean.

Many statues and instruments used in church service at display. It's a good oportunity to see how religion chances a little but from place to place to adapt to local culture.

I just can't see antique churches as tourist stops. Has some historical, artistical, even religous value. Recommended for those into it, only.

Very well treated, lots of historical sculptures of saints from different artists. Close to almost all historical sites of Belem

Nice collection of relics, sculptures and old oil paintings, most of them of the 18th century, with religious inspiration. The day I went there it was very dark and only the legends were illuminated. So if I may give one suggestion it would be: More...More
