We walked from our hotel to the Mall on Christmas Eve in the hope of having dinner and were told by a parking attendant that the shops and food court had closed, but the restaurant Coco Bambu, was still open. But at the main entrance to the mall, a security guard refused us admission and said we would have to walk all the way around to the other side of the mall where there was an entrance that led directly into the restaurant. So the three of us, including my firend's 93 year old father who walks with a cane, did that. Once we were seated inside the restaurant though we saw lots of people entering it from inside the mall. And when we were leaving, our server told us we could walk through the mall to the exit facing the hotels (where the security guard had prevented us from entering). It took us a while but we eventually figured out what had happened. The guard had looked at us wearing shorts (nice shorts and it is a tropical climate after all!) and at our skin colour (two of the three of us are brown) and decided we were too poor and too dark to be allowed in. It was quite shocking to realize that we had been profiled in this way - shocking too because we have visited the mall many times before without incident. My assumption is that the mall management trains the guards to do exactly this sort of screening. It's a moment like this that makes explicit the racism and ugly class divides within Brazilian society. It would be nice if the mall management would disavow this sort of profiling, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit this place with local friends! We went to the upper level , food court ! There are lots of fast food options along with regional brands and tropical food ! We ended up have no a coffe at the Franz Caffe downstairs and walking arround to see what more would be able to find ! There is a ice cream 🍨 (gelato) truly delicious right in front of the spoletto ! Nice experience ! Recommended !

The futuristic architecture stands out by far the most modern Brasília Shopping that is in the Asa Norte Commercial Sector, very close to the North and South Hotels Sectors of Brasilia. It has 170 stores on its various floors, food court, department stores and the famous Madero Steak House, all well accessible and with excellent security protecting the users.
Brasilia Shopping Mall opens every day of the week and is frequented by people from Brasilia and tourists. The quality of its stores and the circulation environment make this nice Shopping Mall very inviting and pleasant.

This is a wonderful shopping centre, not that cheap but good quality. It is nice to shop arround, it is not too large but very diverse in shops and restaurants.

This was my first mall here in Brasilia and I'm impressed with its organization and the large food lounge! The stores are well selected and if you want to drink some good coffee after lunch, there is a chocolate store at the second floor in the right side of the mall, I can't remember the name because it's too big, but there are some tables outside... If I'm right, its a german name...

"Brasília Shopping" may be rated as the best mall in town due to its very central location and convenient size. Not being huge is already an excellent quality, as you can find almost everything you need without getting exhausted from strolling along endless corridors! Food court is more than adequate, offering a wide variety of snacks and meals. Famous restaurants as "Coco Bambu" and "Carpe Diem La Parrilla" have opened branches at "Brasília Shopping", as well as "Fran's Café" and all major sandwich chains. Underground parking facilities offer security and comfort. Visitors staying at SHN (Northern Hotel Sector) can easily walk from their hotels to this mall (avoiding Brasília's expensive taxis). No movie theaters! Well, you cannot have it all always! Enjoy!

It isn't a huge shopping mall, but it's has a good selection of shops and food joints and has the advantage of being centrally located, in W3 avenue, almost where it crosses with Eixo Monumental. To eat, the best option outside of fast food is Coco Bambu. For something cheaper, but good, I suggest Peixe na Rede.
