This modern multifunctional National Theatre is designed by Oscar Niemeyer. It is beautiful but unfortunately very bad maintained.

One of the main attractions of Brasilia, a planned city, is the architecture of the government buildings many designed by Oscar Niemeyer. My wife describes some of them as straight out of the old Jetson's cartoon. The National Theatre, or more correctly, the Cláudio Santoro...More

Besides scheduled theater, shows or orchestra, on Tuesday's nights you can watch to wonderful concerts performed by the National Theater's Symphonic Orchestra for free.

With three concert hall, for 1400, 400 and 60 people. It is the main place for theatre, orchestras and shows. It needs a renovation.
