A bit outside the normal tourist attractions, this church is a real gem. The windows are one of the most impressive I have ever seen, beautiful color and design, it gives the church a mystic touch. Highly recommended to visit.

It is a Christian sanctuary, Linked to the Salesian order. The highest point are the Blue glass Windows, disposed in mosaics.

Religious modern Brazilian architecture at his best.
The light inside the church is amazing, simple and perfect...
When concrete turns beautiful.

As others have commented and pictures attest, the interior of this Santuario is breathtaking. Before visiting, read about Dom Bosco, and his dream that "prophesied" the building of Brasilia that led to him being the patron saint of the city. It's an interesting story. During your visit, go downstairs to the crypt dedicated to him. The steps leading down are next to the altar. This location is also very near the beginning of one of the residential areas (one of the "wings" in the airplane design plan) of the city. It's a good starting point for a walk if you are interested in seeing some of the planned residential blocks, in addition to the more famous tourist sites.

This sanctuary, which from the outside looks unattractive and entirely material, inside becomes an abstract space defined by the blue light of the stained glass windows.

The interior of the Santuario dom Bosco is one of the most beautiful rooms that I know. When entering the Santurario, I'm struck every time by the beauty of the vast room that is surrounded by large blue glass windows that transcend the room into a divine sphere.

Although I am not particularly religious I have visited innumerable temples. shrines, churches and cathedrals all around the World and I have to say that the interior of the Santuario Dom Bosco is one of the finest I have ever seen. It has no gold decoration or fine paintings no columns or vaulted ceiling. It just a vast space with four "walls" of blue stained glass and one of the most beautiful things ever.......

A nice place to visit- very different from other churches, colourful and cheerful. If you go to Brasilia I definitely recommend to visit it.

Not very spectacular from the outside, but the blue windows leave quite an impression from the inside.

A cube-shaped church looking like quite a regular building from outside, what I can only describe as "mesmerizingly beautiful" is the interior of this church not for its elaborateness (of which there's actually "none at all" except for the altar which is also quite plain and just 2 or 3 statues nearby) but for its all four sides "colorful in their entirety" although all of the sides with just one color which specifically is the blue color (of a "stunningly-deep hue" I would say) to see on like each & every one of the small glass plates on all four sides of the Church (except for the corners which are columns with pink glass instead of blue).

And yes, very nice for beautiful pics of the "general interior" (and only just that as mentioned above), this is one church or cathedral where you won't have to spend much time as you might normally do for some specific pics of the beautiful shrines & such in traditional-styled cathedrals (which is what I normally do).
