what belongs to the artisan is pure delight! Simple place, can be improved for visitation. But as far as the products go - very good! Root artisans, manufacturing from the base of the troughs. It was a really cool experience. Some of the artisans are very friendly and open to the public, others are more closed, but overall a great opportunity to learn about the art of troughs! I recommend.

It was a phenomenal experience. The panelist Rosinea A.de Siqueira made a piece that I bought. I saw how clay pieces are made by hand. . One by one. Near a mangrove forest. Be careful when burning the clay. Congratulations PANELEIRAS, I hope this association receives greater attention from the Government of ES. These pans are widely used by people from Espírito Santo.

This famous association of craftsmen of clay pots of "moqueca" has moved to a place in the neighborhood of Goiabeiras. The shed is located in a alley, a little tricky to find out, but any taxi driver will take you there. There are pots of all shapes and sizes. You can know everything about the production of these pans, from the mining of clay, how artisans shape the pots until the process of burning and cooling these appropriate utensils to cook "moqueca capixaba." Every pot is certified, at the fair price, entirely handmade. Workers are happy in explaining the whole process and visitors are welcome. In less than 1 hour you can complete the visit, get out happily with some unique pieces of pots and take some pictures of the place. A small cultural and culinary tour! For those lovers of local cuisine, don't miss this marvellous opportunity of understand how these typical crafts from Espirito Santo are made.

I found it very interesting to see where the ladies make their pots. However, they are not very 'tourism minded'. It is a very 'basic' place with no facilities. There are a few brochures around but nobody really to show you around and explain things. One lady speaks really good English and she would answer IF you asked her. Interesting enough but I wouldn't drive hours to see it.
