The first home in the world to be light by Edison hydro-electricity. The home is a well preserved example of life in the late 19th century, with many of the original electroliers and switches still in operation.

The Hearthstone is the most interesting and historical place to visit in Appleton. Hydroelectricity right here in Appleton. Who else knows why people say "turn" on the lights ??
