We visit often because we have a dog that enjoys running and chasing the other dogs. Bring water and spare dog bags and pick up after yourself.

We visited the park to have a date with a potential new family member. We arrived early, and had time to walk the trails. Like the tables and porta potty - nice for humans!

I no longer take my 9 lb maltese poodle mix to this place. There is a separate section specifically for small dogs, which should be a good thing. However, it's not and it's the fault of the humans accompanying the canines.
Too many small dog owners use the dog park as a way to take their dog somewhere and ignore the dog, and what the dog is doing.
The last and final time I took my dog to this dog park, there was another small dog, that looked like a French bulldog mix, who kept running up to other dogs and head-butting them. This dog did this to my dog, who kept running away, and this French bulldog mix kept headbutting my dog in the side/abdomen.
I was unable to shoo away the French bulldog, so I called my dog over to me, and moved to another part of the small dog section. The French bulldog's owner eventually was identified, and she commented how her dog 'means no harm' and she thought it was cute what it was doing.
I smiled at her and stated, "Well, I'm just worried that my dog will bite yours, because of what your dog is doing."
Interestingly, she scooped up her dog and went to another part of the section.
However, my experience is that the vast majority of small dog owners bring their dogs to this dog park, and then the owners plunk down their bottoms on the picnic tables, and have their ciggies and ignore their dogs and their dogs' behaviors.
For families with small children, and small dogs, I'd advise against coming here, out of concern a small child would be hurt by one of these unsocialized small dogs whose owners fail to watch what's going on.

Our dogs love it here. Great place to interact with others and their dogs and to get your dogs great exercise without having to be on a leash. Wish there were more of these in the area.

A great way to exercise pets and meet other dog owners. We've had a couple of great experiences here. When it got busier in the big field we took our puppy to the area for small dogs. Something for every type of dog.

live not far from this place. Is nice open field areas for dogs to run around with and play. Small pet and large pet separate areas, but have taken my small dog in the larger pet area with no problems. I like the area that is like a walking trail can have pet roam around in. Only thing I thought was annoying was in the large pet area near the undercover area, there is a section that is not well sloped and it allows accumulation of water in some areas. If it has rained even within last couple days, it tends to stay muddy in these spots. Then you have to try to keep your dogs from venturing into those areas.

We bring our dog here all the time. Has segregated areas for small and large dogs, though most small dogs go in with the large. Both these areas are fenced off, and the large dog area is HUGE! There is also an area open to hike with their dog, mainly a trail through the woods. The dogs LOVE it. In addition to each area, the entire area is fenced off to protect the dogs from running away or getting out into traffic. Dogs get a great work out, as do we.
