You have plently places to go for a meal, a drink or just buy crafts. I recommend you visit both during the day and night, because it's really beautiful to see it in daylight cause all the color around, and during the night with all the lights

Quiet during the day, nice to stroll around or sit and people watch, but at night the market and all the bars and restaurants spring into life

If you are looking St Barths version in Bahia, forget it. But if you look great energy, smiling people, don't mind about small trouble, leave the watch behind, here is da place. Take some spare time to visit great beaches half hour far - unforgettable.

This is the most beautiful part of Trancoso. In fact if you come to Trancoso, you pretty much come for this part of the town ( mind you the rest of the town is not well developed with non paved roads and many crumbling houses) and the beaches north of Trancoso. The restaurants and shops all occupy a colorful house... More

An incredible space where the village inhabitants all come together each day. All are welcome, locals and tourists alike.

The Quadrado is the center point for activity. It's quaint and interesting with plenty of little boutique shops to visit & restaurants to check out. We were there during the month of May which is the slow season in Brasil. Many of the shops & restaurants opened later in the afternoon and evening so be sure to keep that in... More

The Quadrado is the square at the heart of the historic centre of Trancoso. The energy you feel when you are there is indescribable. We were told by the manager at our hostel that years ago, this was where chamans from all the tribes in the area would get together for festivities and rituals and that their energy still remains...
