Nice beach

Can walk for more than an hour on a fine sand beach without reaching the end of it. The beach is very flat and large, good for walking and playing at low tide.

Coqueiros beach has very good bars and beach restaurantes. At different days time there are not many people, is quiet and excellent for swim.

Kinda tricky as there isn't a bad beach but for us this was the best. Great spot to relax and watch the world go buy.

This was probably our favorite beach. We walked over a little bridge, across a mangrove swamp, to get there and my daughter liked to watch the crabs at low tide. Once there we ate at the restaurant (second on the left). We had some awesome lunches (order an hour before to allow for prep time). The beach is not steep... More

Our favourite restaurant was at the end with large beds with white cushions, Delicious lunch on ceviche and fish/prawn/pineapple kabobs. Super service and pristine loos!

I went to Trancoso for the last few days of Carnival. Coqueiros Beach is very pretty, the water was warm and calm, and the weather was great, but the bars located along the beach were charging a R$100 (Brazilian currency) minimum consumption fee if you wanted to use their chairs and umbrella. And the prices were really expensive too. We... More

Enjoyed the beaches even though the weather was not the best. Liked this beach the best. I found Trancoso very touristy, but the beaches are really nice. Not a lot nicer than other places in Bahia, but still nice.

this is a great beach where local go. I love that there are small spots were one can order fresh coconut juice, beer or caipirinhas at local prices and chat with "Clarisse", the friendly and happy lady who had a small stall by the beach. We feasted on grilled buffalo cheese being sold by another lady, bought ice cream from... More

Try to get away from the "barracas", which is how the beachfront bars are called. In northeastern Brazil, barracas play music as if everyone is going deaf, so once you walk away from the loudest ones, you'll find a nice place to stay. The water here is warm, as it usually is in northeastern Brazil, but as Trancoso is a... More
