Praticamente, é uma sequência da Praia Boca do Rio e, portanto, conserva as mesmas características, ou seja: praia com problemas de limpeza, saneamento básico, infraestrutura para o turismo e segurança. Não recomendável para o banho.

Bonita porém mal cuidada

Lugar comum de Salvador é a falta de zelo pelas nossas atrações. praias abandonadas, entregues a própria sorte. Esta é bonita, extensa, com algumas pequenas dunas e poucos coqueiros sobreviventes.

A praia do corsário é uma praia tranquila de Areias Claras e vazia gostei muito da visita e de como me serviram na areia os aldeões que trabalham na praia servem a gente na areia tem barraquinhas assim montadas para servir a gente e eles colocam guarda-sóis e cadeira por uma taxa que eles cobram que eu não achei abusiva eles vivem do turismo e a frequência na praia é muito pequena então se não for essa taxa só pela bebida e pela comida eles não ganham um dinheirinho muito bom amei a visita

Ê conhecida como Praia do Corsario, Localizada entre os bairros Pituaçu e Boca do Rio, aqui o calçadão é menor, mas conta com uma ciclovia, bike Itau para aluguel, beach club e mar calmo.

Imprópria para o banho...

Em outubro de 2015, o Instituto do Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos da Bahia (o Inema) avaliou esta praia e concluiu que estava imprópria para o banho, devido ao alto número de coliformes fecais. Precisa dizer mais algo? Não recomendo mesmo, exceto para uma foto...

Falta de estrutura

A praia é maravilhosa, a água do mar e linda, muito bom pra tomar banho. Só que o que envergonha é a falta de estrutura não só dessa praia mas de todas as praias de Salvador. Faltam barracas descentes, banheiros, chuveiros, guarda volumes, segurança, enfim o básico pra se curtir um bom dia de praia com tranquilidade.
