Bottom line = Shops were OK and the... More

Some absolute bargains here. Some of it is typical touristy tat but it's DEFINITELY worth going to - i bought a typical brazilian pot for 10 Reis here. The exact some one in the airport cost 50!

I had the impression that all the stores sold the same things. Nice things, but not much difference.

Stopped by there a couple of times while in Pelhourinho. I'm told that the prices for cheap souvenirs are better there than in old town. Picked up some nice table clothes at one of the booths. There is a police presence but always felt safe there. It's a good idea to hold tight to your purse as you would in... More

I love everything in Bahia, I tried to go where the locals where and not too "Touristy". Bahiano's are just beautiful people with an amazing outlook in Life. So much Energy, culture and Passion! So glad to meet so many locals here. Tried the food - was incredible! Definitely need to visit Bahia!
