No one with an interest in Bahian traditions should miss this. An extremely professional show with needle-sharp timing and imaginative choreography. It was also nice to have live musicians---a comparable Cuban show which I once saw in London had only recorded music, which was a...More

I'm always worried about shows like this, which can be so hokey and touristical but this one is WONDERFUL -- do not miss it! The company is so strong, they dance and gyrate and show powerful movements and emotions, all the while smiling and appearing...More

Exuberant, energetic, polished, pulsing and haunting performances. Large cast, great percussion, visually stimulated costumes and non-stop, never slow down choreography. A very hard working and talented group which has performed all over the world. Saw them and enjoyed them at GPAC in Germantown TN, a...More

This show is a must see if you are staying in Salvador. The show is just over an hour long and is non stop high energy dancing. The dancers are totally into it and obviously love the program. I have seen many folkloric ballets across...More

The Bale Folclorico was part of our tour and we were very happy it was included. The show lasts less than one hour in a very small theater. The seats are just benches and not that comfortable but since the show is short its not...More

We went to this 1 hour show pre-dinner. I'd seen a similar show at the Edinburgh Festival. Vibrant and energetic dances and finished off with martial arts. well worth an hour of your time. it costs 50 reals.

The show is great... the buffet could be a bit more sophisticated. The price is worth it for the show only.

This show was excellent in terms of the quality and athleticism of the dancers, the choreography and the costumes. Our guide called it a "Red Bull" show and that it was. There was so much energy and skill in the stage as the dancers depicted...More

Compact show with the most interesting presentations of Bahia culture. From popular dances to Orixas presentation (divinities from Candomble) with glimpses of other rhythms that made the state known for its singularity. It is a "must go" show !!!

Hi Judi. You don't need to buy tickets in advance, unless you're around and want to buy them just to be safe. It's easy to get a taxi after the show. You only need to walk back to Terreiro de Jesus, Pelourinho's main... More
