This building could be seen by us from our cruise ship balcony thus we walked to it several times. It is not open to the public. The building looks very nice from the outside. Trucks loaded with good s line up starting early in the morning as they wait for small river boats to come in so the goods can... More

This building and associated lighthouse are located right on the waterfront near the ferry terminal. It is certainly an interesting building and reminiscent from when Manaus was a thriving rubber trading city. Whilst the best views of it are from out the side doors of the terminal it can also be seen from the waterfront road if you happen to... More

A beautiful building on the waterfront in Manaus, the Alfandega stands out like a beacon. The lighthouse attached to this building has a fascinating farol (lantern room) at the apex. Although probably no longer in use, it is possible to get reasonably close, with permission, to photograph it.

It is quite a nice building but i don't think you can go in at this time. as there are a lot of construction around.
