We loved this beach. On Carnaval Tuesday, it was not too full of people, but still had plenty of services (being mid February, the water was at mid level. It will be rising until June, when apparently there isn't much beach to visit). We had great lunch of barbecued tambaqui. The barraca that sold us the tambaqui did not have... More

This is a great beach when the water is low. A few stall serve beer and fish, and there are covered table right along the water. To get there go to Marina do Davi by bus or taxi and start asking around for the shuttle to Praia da Lua. They leave every hour ish - but there is no fixed... More

An easy 5reais boat ride from Marina do Davi, you will enjoy the tour of the Sao Sebastiao community in the Amazon (stay on the boat and get off only on its way back to Manaus, then get off at the first praia da lua stop, cause there are two). Easily the best meal i had in Manaus (and i... More

This beach is a lot safer the Ponta Negra Beach, however the lack of infrastructure is visible compared to the famous city beach. The water is cleaned though, the place is safe, and you CAN find something ok to eat...well, try and maybe you'll like it more than I do...

Praia da Lua in the 90's and beginning of 2000's was a very good beaach, today we have so many small business on the beach, a lot of trash and is sad to see this. I recommend you to go to Tupe, but have the same problem, but is better or go to another beach on Rio Negro like Praia... More

The beach is reached by launch from Marina Davi, and is only about ten minutes away. The beach is extensive at low water, sandy, deserted for the most part, and the river is great for a swim to cool off from the tropical heat. The launch makes regular stops to take you back to Davi or further upstream to Seringal... More
