EXTREMELY dirty beach, no waves, too crowded. They don't even offer beach chairs, only those that are used for eating. Seriously, I was amazed by how dirty this beach was. I took a transfer with my family, when we arrived, we immediately hired a taxi to take us to another beach. They give this beach too much credits.

A little too touristy for my liking. On the other hand, the tides here are pretty dramatic and during low tide you can go looking for edible mollusks in the sand.

This is a beautiful beach for a day trip. It is only about an hour from Maceió and several tour companies offer bus rides to this beach. There are many barracas where you can enjoy your peixe grilhada or camarão lunch with a cold beer. Use cash or debit card. The natural lagoons formed by the offshore reefs make it... More

Well, I liked Gunga Beach but when you get into the water...better be careful, because it gets deep really fast. 2 or 3 steps......I recommend but with some restrictions.

I love Maceio! Beautiful town with a beautiful sea. I took the September holiday in Brazil and returned to town. I wanted to return to Barra de São Miguel to Gunga. I do not think the interesting beach of the French. What interested me was to go Barra de São Miguel to Gunga beach, across the sea in a boat,... More

the beach is really nice, there is food in the beach with a good infrastrucuture. You should take the quadriclyce or the buggy ride to the cliffs. It is the best thing of the beach.
