At first it seemed like the place was closed but then the owner opened the door and invited us for a wonderful private tour inside. We tasted propably some of the best wines we ever had, and a bottle of their best Chardonnay cost us roughly the same as a pint of the cheapest beer in Finland (13 marks, 5 euros), only 100 times better. Currently their wines are only available in the Balkan area, so if you happen to pass Trebinje do not miss this opportunity.

The white authentic grape Zilavake and the wine is very good.

This stop was part of the half day Bosnia wine tour from Dubrovnik .

We sampled five wines and were provided cheese and dried ham in a lovely outdoor setting.

At 80 kunas for a bottle of award winning wine, you can't go wrong!

Andjelic is one of the some cellars in Trebinje, the main city of the wine in the Southeast of Bosnia&Herzegovina. It is a very beautiful and familiar cellar, which is located in the surroundings of the city. Moreover, it is located in the house of the family, where they have the cellar and a bar/little restaurant. The visit to the cellar is very interesting and the staff (the daughter of the owners) was very friendly and nice, and we could taste 4 wines and 1 rakija. In fact, for me, this is very good and the wine zone of Herzegovina is excellent. I recommend you taste the local grapes: the red Vranac and the white Zilavka.

When in Trebinje, please do not miss this famous wine cellar. I visited their winery with my friends and that was one of the best experiences in Trebinje. People were so hospitable and explained us all about wines. We tried several of their wines who were awarded in international competitions. All this followed with home made cheese, prosciutto and olives. 100% organic products!
