Went for a swim with the family. Nice temperature but not the best beach. Rocky bottom, were warned about the water snakes but apparently harmless Good to cool off though followed by a trip to one of the taverns on the lakeside

This lake us large and there is so much to see and admire. Take a sailboat, drive above it in Montenegro from Ostros to Virpazar. Enjoy good wine in one of the few wineries and more.

We went up to the lake and had lunch in one of the lakeside restaurants. The food was good and the breeze from the lake was very welcome in the Summer heat.

Natural,scientific and recreational asset of large proportions,the largest in the Balkan Peninsula.It's a relatively shallow lake with a very rich flora.Lake Shkodra received the status of Managed Nature Reserve.

Shiroke has two smaller grocery stores that have most of what you will need if your visiting, but if you need a bigger store they aren't far.
